This device is intended to record information on the magnetic strip of a plastic card and allows you to encode both LoCo and HiCo cards. Device management is performed by ESC sequences from a computer via the standard RS232C interface (Command format is available and can be used to write own control software). In addition, the software package includes DOS and Windows that allows you to encode the magnetic stripe of cards in several standard formats (including ISO 7811), as well as in any other user-defined format! HiCo (high-coercive) cards are different from the more common LoCo (low-coercive) cards are the magnetization power that they need to apply to write and erase information. To record cards LoCo is enough 300 Oersted, To record HiCo maps - 4,000 Oersted. T.o. HiCo cards are much more reliable and durable, but the cost of HiCo cards is higher. External maps of HiCo differ from LoCo cards with the color of the magnetic layer - HiCo cards have a black magnetic stripe, LoCo is brown (this rule is not valid for all manufacturers).
